Lawmaker's assistant imprisoned for 'illegal assembly' inside Legislative Council

On 8 October 2018, Cheung Tsz Lung will be imprisoned for illegal assembly after dropping his appeal.

Cheung Tsz Leung was one of 5 defendants found guilty of committing illegal assembly inside the Legislative Council. He was the lawmaker Baggio Leung’s assistant at the time.

He was sentenced under the Public Order Ordinance and has dropped his appeal because he failed to receive legal aid.
