Hong Kong Watch and Lord Tyrie meet Home Office Minister Lord Hanson of Flint

This Monday, Hong Kong Watch’s Senior Research and Policy Advisor Thomas Benson met with the Rt Hon the Lord Hanson of Flint, Minister of State at the Home Office, together with the Rt Hon the Lord Tyrie, a long-term supporter of BNO Hong Kongers.

We briefed the Minister on the impact of new eligibility requirements for settled status under the ‘earned settlement’ proposals set out by the Home Office in November last year. Our Advisor also discussed the impact of these changes on BNO students and those with MPF retirement savings.

We thank the Minister for his time and his support for the BNO community.
