Hong Kong Watch Youth Initiative Programme UK 2026

About the programme

Hong Kong Watch’s Youth Initiative Programme UK is a selective training programme for developing the next generation of Hong Konger advocates, and training selected participants in advocacy, public policy, and civic engagement.

Programme overview

This programme will first train participants in core advocacy skills, then provide opportunities to put this training into practice. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced voices in the advocacy space, engage with Parliamentarians, and develop the knowledge, skills and network needed to pursue a career in advocacy or public policy.

The programme consists of a series of five online workshops with focuses on engaging policymakers, strategic communications, community building and resilience (total time commitment: 10 hours).

Online workshops will take place between July to September 2026 (weekday evenings or weekends), followed by in-person practical sessions such as parliamentary advocacy meetings (weekday) where travel to London will be required.
