Hong Kong Watch hosts Canadian Youth Initiative seminar with Jean Yip MP

As part of our Youth Initiative Program in Canada, Hong Kong Watch hosted a seminar on Canada’s public policy and party politics (Liberal Party) in partnership with the HongKonger Community Centre Toronto on 27 June.

We were pleased to have Jean Yip MP deliver a presentation on the structure of the government of Canada and the Liberal Party. She also shared her experience as a Member of Parliament and recruited volunteers on the spot, encouraging young people to actively participate in civic life.

This seminar is part of a series of training in civic education and public engagement for our Canadian Youth Initiative Program. It introduced our participants to Canada’s political system and public service.

6月27日，香港監察聯同多倫多香港人社區中心舉辦「加拿大青年政治參與計劃」研討會，介紹加拿大的公共政策及政黨政治（自由黨）。

我們很高興邀請到國會議員Jean Yip MP講解加拿大政府架構及自由黨。她亦分享從政經驗，並即場招募義工，鼓勵年輕一代積極參與公民事務。

這場工作坊是香港監察「加拿大青年政治參與計劃」中公民教育及公眾參與培訓系列的一部分，向參加者介紹了加拿大的政治體制及公共服務。
