Hong Kong Watch hosts Canadian Youth Initiative seminar on government structure

On Saturday, Hong Kong Watch hosted an online seminar on Canada’s three levels of government as part of our Canadian Youth Initiative Program.

A Youth Initiative alumnus, who now works in Parliament, outlined the three levels of government (federal, provincial, and municipal) as well as the electoral system of Canada. She also shared how the program helped her professional development and ongoing civic engagement.

Participants then heard from our Advocacy and Communications Officer Landson Chan, who discussed his work in engaging with Members of Parliament on key advocacy issues and answered questions from the audience.

星期六，香港監察舉辦「加拿大青年政治參與計劃」網上研討會，講解加拿大三級政府架構。

現時在加拿大國會工作的「青年政治參與計劃」舊生簡介加拿大三級政府（聯邦政府、省政府和市政府），以及選舉制度。她亦分享計劃如何幫助她的職業發展及持續公民參與。

隨後，香港監察倡議及傳訊主任Landson Chan介紹他就重要倡議議題與國會議員溝通的工作，並解答參加者的問題。
