Hong Kong Watch US Youth Initiative participants volunteer at Hong Kong Fair in San Francisco

On August 15th, participants in our US Youth Initiative Program took part in the Bay Area HongKonger Community Center’s annual Hong Kong Fair in San Francisco as volunteers. The event, one of the largest of its kind in the American Hong Kong community, welcomed over 3,000 visitors.

As meet-and-greet volunteers at the opening ceremony, our youth participants welcomed distinguished guests, including local elected officials and congressional staffers, while providing logistical support.

This hands-on opportunity allowed participants to apply the skills developed in the Youth Initiative Program and gain valuable experience in civic leadership and professional engagement with community and political leaders.

香港監察「美國青年政治參與計劃」參加者擔任三藩市「香港市集」義工

8月15日，香港監察「美國青年政治參與計劃」參加者在三藩市灣區香港人社區中心（Bay Area HongKonger Community Center）主辦的一年一度「香港市集」中擔任義工。這場盛事是美國港人社群同類活動中規模最大的之一，吸引了超過3,000人入場。

青年參加者擔任開幕禮招待義工，負責歡迎當地民選官員和國會職員等嘉賓，同時提供後勤支援。

今次實踐機會讓參加者能夠運用在「青年政治參與計劃」中發展的技能，並在公民領導和與社區及政治領袖專業交流方面獲得寶貴經驗。
