Fung Wai-kong (also known as his pen name Lo Fung) was arrested at the Hong Kong International Airport on 27 June 2021 for conspiring to collude with foreign forces under the National Security Law, while he was leaving Hong Kong for the United Kingdom. He faced a new charge of conspiracy to publish seditious publications on 28 December 2021, along with other Apple Daily executives.

Incident: Six former Apple Daily employees were accused of conspiring, together with founder Jimmy Lai and three related companies, to publish over 160 items of “impugned content” since April 2019 to sway public opinion, promote protests, and call for foreign sanctions against China and Hong Kong.
