40 human rights and diaspora groups strongly condemn sentencing of Joshua Wong

Today, Hong Kong Watch joins 39 other human rights and diaspora organisations around the world in condemning the 10-year imprisonment sentence of Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Joshua Wong, for his second conviction under the Hong Kong National Security Law.

The statement highlights the repeated imprisonment Joshua Wong has undergone, including the sentences for his participation in the Hong Kong 47 case and the 2019 pro-democracy protests.

Alongside the other signatories, Hong Kong Watch calls on democratic governments to more forcefully demand the immediate and unconditional release of Joshua Wong, specifically during the upcoming bilateral meetings between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping.

40個人權及離散團體聯署  強烈譴責當局重判黃之鋒10年監禁

今天，香港監察與世界各地39個人權及離散族群組織發表聯合聲明，譴責香港法庭重判社運人士黃之鋒10年監禁。這是他第二宗《國家安全法》罪成案件。

聲明強調黃之鋒多次被監禁，包括之前涉及47人案和2019年示威活動的判刑。

香港監察與其他聯署團體同聲呼籲民主政府更強硬地要求立即無條件釋放黃之鋒，特別是在美國總統特朗普和中國國家主席習近平即將展開的雙邊會談上提出要求。
