United Kingdom
Discussed next steps in ensuring BNOs are unaffected by new settlement requirements with our Patron James Naish MP and shared a two-pager on our BNO survey results with over 90 MPs
Followed up on policy papers from the Home Office detailing language requirements for settlement applications and worked with two MPs to table four written questions on BNO settlement requirements
Met with the US Embassy in London to discuss transnational repression against the UK’s Hong Kong community and the state of UK-China relations
Analysed data from our survey on UK-China policy after receiving over 1,000 responses and secured exclusive coverage of its preliminary findings with The Observer
Canada
Testified in the Canadian Parliament, calling for action to address transnational repression against Hong Kongers
United States
Made a productive visit to Washington, DC with Canadian MPs, which resulted in Select Committee on the CCP Chairman Moolenaar sending letters on Hong Kong issues to President Trump and Secretary Rubio
United Nations
Made a submission to the OHCHR on protecting human rights defenders in the digital age
